Engine wont start - battery OK. I have a 2010 Ceed 1.6 diesel which had a clutch and crank shaft sensor replaced 3 weeks ago. Since then i have seen a deterioration in the starting behavior - i.e. long cranks before start up and then clicking noises. Thinking it was the battery I took it out and had it charged. Does anybody know why the high pressure diesel pump has a timing mark that has to be set with no1 cylinder at TDC and the camshaft pins both at 12 o'clock (No1 cylinder at TDC on compression stroke - all valves closed 1. Check fuel level. 2. With the ignition switch in the LOCK/ OFF position, check all connectors at ignition, coil and spark plugs. Reconnect any that may be disconnected or loose. 3.
